ENG | Around 1871, the Polish painter Anna Stretz and the Italian musician Massimo Perioda settled in the Conca della Presolana, inspired by the beauty of the landscape. One day, during a thunderstorm, the two artists went to the Belvedere to capture the power of nature through their art.
After completing their works, enchanted by the wind’s melody, they began to dance on the rocky ledge. But they fell into the void, locked in an embrace. The next day, their bodies were found still holding each other. Since then, that spot has been known as the Lovers’ Leap (Salto degli Sposi).
