Un giovane scapestrato viene cacciato di casa e finisce al servizio di un mago, dal quale ruba una lanterna magica capace di esaudire desideri. Con essa si arricchisce, vince un torneo e sposa una principessa.

Ma il mago, travestito da venditore, inganna la principessa e si riprende la lanterna, facendo sparire il palazzo e la sposa. Il ragazzo parte alla ricerca, aiutato da un topo, un gatto e un uccello, grazie ai quali riesce a recuperare la lanterna dal cuscino del mago addormentato.

Ristabilisce tutto com’era, riporta a casa la principessa, e il ritorno del palazzo viene accolto con grande festa.


ENG | A reckless young man is thrown out of the house by his mother and ends up working for a wizard, from whom he steals a magic lantern that grants wishes. With it, he becomes rich, wins a tournament, and marries a princess.

But the wizard, disguised as a lantern seller, tricks the princess into exchanging the magic lantern, then uses it to make the palace and the princess disappear. The young man sets off in search of them, helped by a mouse, a cat, and a bird. Together, they retrieve the lantern from under the sleeping wizard’s pillow.

The young man restores everything as it was, brings the princess back home, and the return of the palace is celebrated with great joy.
